REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

Required equipment for each lesson is listed at the start of the lesson. It is advisable that the class has access to several camcorders, simple editing, microphones, several lights, and a classroom area that can be blacked out. A vision mixer would also be nice. ........ See Gear Guide.

2 Effective use of a camera:- First shoot and analysis of results.

3 Steadying a hand held camera/ shooting styles

4 Good shooting:- Principles and guide lines for good shooting, shoot 2 (hand held)

5 Basic camera operation:- Using focus and zoom functions.

6 The Interview:- Interview principles. Prep. single cam op and multicam op.

7 Lighting a video set - the 3 point lighting set, using a 4 channel lighting dimmer.
