This movie was produced as a result of a workshop conducted at Crestwood High School. Students were encouraged to explore the possibilities of composition, mood and atmosphere using a single light source and a fixed camera. The crew rotates roles for each shot. Time needed for this exersize is approx. 60min.

The resulting images were made into a full resolution movie for classroom viewing as well as a the Quicktime movie you see here using a DV Imac from Apple.

This exercise is a great way to introduce concepts of lighting, framing and the abstract concept of the development of meaning.
